(Montreal, QUE) – The Montreal Canadiens have traded Tim Bozon to the Florida Panthers for Jonathan Racine.
Racine, a 23-year-old Montreal native, will report to the St. John’s IceCaps, according to a press release from the team.
Bozon was drafted to the Canadiens system in 2012. After three stellar seasons in the Western Hockey League with Kamloops and Kootenay, Bozon had a severe case of meningitis in 2014 that almost cost him his life.
He played parts of last season with the St Johns Ice Caps and scored the game-wining goal in the season’s final game.
