(Montreal, PQ) – Anderson Macdonald was nominated by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League as a finalist for offensive rookie of the year. The Saint John, New Brunswick forward scored 29 goals and added 12 helpers in only 50 games this season. The first round selection of the Sherbrooke Phoenix also played for Canada’s Under 17 national team at the World Under 17 Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario last fall.
Noah Dobson ended the season as the third star of the week in the QMJHL after finishing with the highest plus/minus among rookie defencemen (and fourth among all defencemen) at +34 along with 26 points in 63 games for the Acadie Bathurst Titan. The first round pick of the Acadie Bathurst Titan also played for Canada at the World Under 17 Challenge last fall.
