Lionel Ingleton will be missed

(Guelph, ON) – It is with a heavy heart and deepest condolences to the Ingleton family, that we say goodbye to a longtime friend, father, coach, and mentor to many, Lionel Ingleton.

Lionel coached and scouted at the Tier 2 and major junior level for many years, including with the London Knights, and was an advisor with Maloney & Thompson Sports Management for the past year.

After a long battle for most of this year, Lionel passed away peacefully at his home in Oshawa surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the age of 62.

He is the beloved husband of Ilka Ingleton for 38 years and cherished dad of Casey, Curtis and Nicki, much loved son of Raymond and Norma Ingleton and dear brother of Beth (Brian), Carol (Mike) and Steve (Cheryl). He is survived by his mother-in-law Luise Pach (the late Jan), brother-in-law of Mike, Zygmund (Judith) and Ron (Cindy).

Lionel will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, players and everyone he touched throughout his life.

The visitation will take place at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home at 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby on Thursday July 28th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service celebrating Lionel’s life will be held in the Barnes Chapel on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow the service at Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa.
