Pielmeier named DEL Player of the Month

Pielmeier had a 1.31 GAA and .948 save percentage in November

(Inglostadt, GER) — Timo Pielmeier was named Deutsche Eishockey League player of the month for November. The Ingolstadt goalie sat in the selection of Hockey News in collaboration with the DEL.  The 24-year-old, playing his first full season DEL (2005 to 2007 he played for the Cologne Sharks) was in November in six games a goals against average of 1.31 and a save percentage of .948 and two shutouts.

Pielmeier, who was allowed to complete in the 2010/11 season a memorable first and only NHL game for the Anaheim Ducks, came before the season of the Landshut Cannibals of the former 2 Bundesliga (now DEL2) to Ingolstadt. There he was elected Rookie of the Year. Pielmeier had played several years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Minor Leagues ECHL and AHL.
