Pielmeier wins Rookie of the Year

Pielmeier has a .946 save percentage in the playoffs

(Inglostadt, GER) – Timo Pielmeier was named Deutsche Eishockey League Rookie of the Year.  The 24-year-old, playing his first full season DEL had a 2.54 goals against average and .911 save percentage in 43 games with Inglostadt.

After playing for the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL, Pielmeier was selected in the 3rd round of the NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks before being dealt to the Anaheim Ducks. After three seasons he returned to Germany last season with the Landshut Cannibals.
