Four players participating in 2019 World Junior Championships

Guelph (ON) – Four Maloney & Thompson clients will be participating in the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships being held in British Columbia.

Defenseman Noah Dobson (19) of the QMJHL Acadie-Bathurst Titan and goaltender Mads Soegaard (19) of the WHL Medicine Hat Tigers will represent Canada and Denmark respectively from December 26-January 7th.

Two other NCAA-bound clients – 1 with Denmark and 1 with Switzerland – are also taking part in the event.

Dobson, a right shot defenseman, was a 1st round pick (12th overall) of the New York Islanders in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.  The 6-3, 176lb. captain has 19 points in 28 games with the Titan to date.

Soegaard, a native of Aalborg, Denmark, is in his first season of NHL Entry Draft eligibility and has 2.39 GAA and a .931 save percentage in 19 games to date with Tigers.
