(Guelph, ON) -- Forward Easton Cowan (Mount Brydges, ON) of the London Knights (OHL), and Andrew Gibson (Lasalle, ON) of the S.S. Marie Greyhounds (OHL) have been selected to attend the camps of Canadian World Junior U20 Team.
Cowan, the 6'0, 185 lbs winger was the first round selection (28th overall) in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has scored in 56-consecutive regular season games and surpassed the previous mark held by Doug Gilmour of the 1981-82 Cornwall Royals. has scored 20 goals and added 15 assists in 28 games to date for the Knights.
Gibson, a 6'4", 210 lbs blueliner was a second-round pick in the 2023 draft to the Detroit Red Wings. Gibson 4 goals and 3 assists over 26 games so far this season with the Greyhounds.
The 2025 World Junior Hockey Championships in Ottawa, Ontario from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
