(Guelph, ON) -- Maloney & Thompson is proud to announce that 16 players have been named to NHL Central Scouting’s Draft Prospects Rankings for the 2022 NHL Entry Draft in Montreal on July 7-8th, 2022.
The updated list was issued Thursday by the NHL Central Scouting Service in advance of the Entry Draft in July.
Ty Nelson (Toronto, ON) The 5'10", 196 lb. defenseman from the North Bay Battalion is rated at #32 on the NA Skaters list after a solid rookie season in the OHL with 9 goals and 42 assists for 51 points in 66 games. He was +24 this season. Nelson was the 1st overall pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.
Mattias Havelid (Linkoping, SWE)
Havelid is a 5'9", 165 lb. blueliner with Linkoping of the Swedish Junior League. He led the recent World U18 Championships with 12 points in 6 games leading Sweden to gold. He is now rated #19 among all European skaters.
Hugo Havelid (Linkoping, SWE)
The twin brother of defenseman Mattias, the 5-10, 174 lb. tender was named Top Goaltender at the recent World U18 Championships leading Sweden to the gold medal. He is rated #2 among all European goalies.
Cedrick Guindon (Rockland, ON)
The Owen Sound Attack winger put up 59 points (30 goals and 29 assists) in 68 games in his first OHL campaign this past season. He is listed at #59 on the NA Skaters list. The 5-10, 170 pounder was the Attack 1st round draft choice in 2020.
Matthew Maggio (Tecumseh, ON)
The 19-year old winger was not listed by NHL Central Scouting at mid-term has been added after a very strong second half with the Windsor Spitfires. The 5'11", 187 lb. winger tallied 85 points (38 goals and 47 assists) in 66 games this season. He was a 5th round choice of the Ottawa 67's in 2018. Maggio is listed at #102 on the NA Skaters list.
Jake Sloan (Leduc, AB)
The 6'4", 214 lb. winger from the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League has 17 goals and 16 assists this season in 57 games. He was Americans 3rd round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam draft. He is listed at #111 on the NA Skaters list.
Markus Vidicek (Kirkland, QC)
Vidicek, a 5'10", 154 lb. centreman on the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL, is currently rated at #116. This season he recorded 18 goals and 47 assists for 65 points in 68 games.
Yoan Loshing (Ville Lemoyne, QC)
Loshing is a 5'9", 161 lb. forward for the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. Currently listed at #128, the former 1st round selection of the Wildcats had 19 goals and 23 assists in 50 games this season.
Dyllan Gill (Riverview, NB)
The 6'2", 179 lb. defenseman listed at #155 after a solid season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. He has recorded 6 goals and 15 assists in 66 QMJHL games this past season. He was the 20th overall selection by the Huskies in 2020.
Rayan Bettahar (Nowy Targ, Poland)
Bettahar is in his import rookie season with the WHL Swift Current Broncos. The 6'2", 201 lb. blueliner has 1 goal and 14 assists in 63 games. He is listed at #188 among NA Skaters.
Brayden Schmitt (Bible Hill, NS)
Schmitt is in his 2nd season with the QMJHL Blaineville-Boisbriand Armada. He has scored 2 goals and picked up 23 assists in 68 games this past season. He has been rated at #213 among NA skaters.
Landon Sim (New Glasgow, NS)
Sim has recorded 12 goals and 9 assists so far this season with the OHL London Knights. He was their 3rd round choice in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection and is rated #215 among NA Skaters.
Maximilian Streule (Zurich, SUI)
Streule is a 5'10", 176 lb. import defenseman with the Winnipeg ICE of the WHL. He was rated #214 at mid-term after scoring two goals and 9 assists in 52 games. He was a 2nd round import selection of the ICE in 2021.
Nolan Dann (Ayr, ON)
After scoring 29 goals and 28 assists in 64 games with the OHL Sarnia Sting, Dann was rated #224 at the mid-term rankings among NA Skaters.
Ludvig Jansson (Sodertalje, SWE)
The 6', 176 lb. blueliner is currently rated #35 among European Skaters after playing 47 games with Sodertalje of the Allsvenskan League. He has 2 goals and 3 assists in one of Sweden's pro leagues.
