(Buffalo, NY) -- J.J. Peterka (Munich, Germany) has signed an entry-level contract with the Buffalo Sabres.
He was the Sabres' 2nd round pick (34th overall) in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Peterka, 19, recently played for Team Germany at the IIHF World Hockey Championships, and played for EHC Red Bull Munchen in the DEL this past season, Germany's top professional league.
The 5.10, 181 lb. winger scored 9 goals and picked up 11 assists in 30 games with EHC Red Bull Munchen in the DEL.
Age age 18, Peterka was also selected 55th overall in the 2020 CHL Import Draft by the London Knights.
He grew up playing in the EC Bad Tolz youth program before attending Red Bull Academy from 2016-2019 before elevating to the DEL at age 18.
