(Geneva, SUI) -- Former Guelph Storm and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Tanner Richard (Markham, ON) helped lead his Geneve-Servette HC club to their first Champions League title with a win over Skelleftea.

Richard has 4 goals and 10 assists in 31 games this season, and added 12 points in 13 Champions League games (10th among all players) to lead the 119-year old club to their first title.
Last season, he helped lead his Geneve-Servette HC club to their first Swiss National League title.
The 6-0, 192 lbs. product of the Rapperswil-Jona hockey program was the Lightning's 3rd round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He played two years with the OHL's Guelph Storm before embarking on a 4-year stint with Tampa's Syracuse Crunch.
In his eighth SNL campaign, Richard has appeared in 284 games with 44 goals and 142 assists.
He was the Storm's 1st round pick in the 2011 CHL Import draft after scoring 43 points in 28 games with the U20 Rapperswil-Jona club.
