(Guelph, ON) -- Maloney & Thompson is proud to announce that seven players have been named to NHL Central Scouting’s ‘Players to Watch’ List for January for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
The updated ‘Players to Watch’ list was issued Friday by the NHL Central Scouting Service in advance of the Entry Draft in June.
Oscar Plandowski (Halifax, NS) is a 6.00, 190 lb. right-shot defenseman with the Charlottetown Islanders. He was a 1st round choice in the 2019 QMJHL Draft and has 1 goal and 5 assists in 14 games to date with the Islanders.
Zach Biggar (O'Leary, PE) of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan has 0-5-5 in 15 games to date this season. The former 2nd round 2019 QMJHL draft spent last season with the Summerside Capitals of the MHL recording 7-35-42 points in 47 games. He is 5.11, 175 lbs. with a left shot.
Nolan Dann (Ayr, ON) of the OHL Sarnia Sting (OHL) was chosen in the 4th round (68th overall) in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. The 5.10, 178 lb. winger put together a strong 2019-2020 campaign scoring 48 points in 52 games with the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL).
Ben Roger (Brighton, ON) of the London Knights of the OHL is a right-shot defenseman who is 6.04, 171 lbs. He was a 4th round (74th overall) in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection from the Quinte Red Devils.
Connor Trenholm (Dartmouth, NS) is a 6.00, 170 lbs. left-shot centreman who is currently with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL. To date he has 5 goals and 5 assists in 15 games. He was a 3rd round pick of the Eagles in 2019 after a solid season with the Cole Harbour Wolfpack.
Sebastian Wraneschitz (Wien, AUT) was a standout goaltender at the recent World Junior Championships in Alberta. The Austrian native at 6.00, 176 lbs. is currently with the Vienna Capitals of the ICEHL.
