(San Jose, CA) -- The San Jose Sharks have signed defenseman Artem Guryev (Toronto, ON) of the Flint Firebirds to an Entry Level Contract contract.
The 6.04, 213 lbs. blueliner was selected by San Jose in the 2021 NHL Draft (5th round, 135th overall). Guryev scored 7 goals and 9 assists in 47 OHL games split between the Peterborough Petes and the Firebirds. He also accumulate 68 penalty minutes.

Guryev was originally a 2nd round selection of the OHL's Peterborough Petes in 2019 out of the Toronto Marlboros program where he scored 3 goals and 12 assists in 31 games.
He graduates the OHL with 8 goals and 22 assists for 30 points in 98 regular season games.
