(Lugano, SUI) -- Colgate Raider forward Matthew Verboon (Geneva, SUI) has signed a contract with HC Lugano of the Swiss National League for the 2023-24 season.
The 6.01, 196 lbs winger just finished a four-year career in the NCAA with Colgate University. He scored 16 goals and 19 assists for 35 points in 40 games this past season.
Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Verboon grew up in the Geneva, Switzerland area playing youth hockey for Geneve Servette.
Matt tallied 79 points in 127 career NCAA games. He was also named 2023 ECAC Men's Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the year.
